A White Angel

As I was dreaming one night,
I saw Angels dressed in white.
Flying slowly through the air,
The Angels were saying a prayer.
Bless this one dear Lord,
One day she will get her reward.
She will receive her Angel wings,
And join us as we sing.....

A Lovely Lady

There is a lady sweet and kind,
Was never a face so pleased my mind;
I did but see her passing by,
And yet I'll love her till I die.
Her gesture, motion, and her smiles,
Her wit, her voice my heart beguiles,
Beguiles my heart, I know not why,
And yet I'll love her till I die.
Cupid is winged and he doth range,
Her country, so, my love doth change:
But change she earth, or change she sky,
Yet, I will love her till I die.
Thomas Ford (ca. 1580- 1648)
A "Green" Angel

Angels, in the early morning
May be seen the Dews among,
Stooping - plucking - smiling - flying -
Do the Buds to them belong?
Angels, when the sun is hottest
May be seen the sands among,
Stooping - plucking - sighing - flying -
Parched the flowers they bear along.
Emily Dickinson (1830 - 1886)
Tea Time

I wish we could sit down together,
And have a cup of tea,
But since we can't
When you have this one,
I hope you'll think of me.
William E.Gladstone(1809-1898)
A Giving Angel

Angels are with you every step of the way
And help you soar with amazing grace
After all, we are Angels in training
All we have to do is spread our wings .. and fly
Angels are with you every step of the way
And help you soar with amazing grace
After all, we are Angels in training
All we have to do is spread our wings .. and fly.

A "Loved" Lady"

Tis done - and shivering in the gale
The bark unfurls her snowy sail;
And whistling o'er the bending mast,
Loud sings on high the fresh'ning blast;
And I must from this land be gone,
Because I cannot love but one.
The poorest, veriest wretch on earth
Still finds some hospitable hearth,
Where Friendship's or Love's softer glow
May smile in joy or soothe in woe;
But friend or leman I have none,
Because I cannot love but one....
'Twould soothe to take one lingering view,
And bless thee in my last adieu;
Yet wish I not those eyes to weep
For him that wanders o'er the deep;
His home, his hope, his youth are gone,
Yet still he loves, and loves but one.
Lord George Gordon Byron (1788-1824)
A Winter Angel

Now winter nights enlarge
This number of their hours;
And clouds their storms discharge
Upon the airy towers.
All do not all things well:
Some measures comely tread,
Some knotted riddles tell,
Some poems smoothly read.
The summer hath his joys,
And winter his delights;
Though love and all his
Pleasures are but toys
They shorten tedious nights.
Thomas Campion (1567-1620)
