Myth has it that the first music box was designed for the amusement and
entertainment of Marie Antoinette. History, on the other hand, reveals the availability
of musical clocks constructed in the 16th century for royalty and the wealthy. The
musical tones were derived by notching a revolving disc striking a single pin.
The
origin of music boxes can be traced back to 1796, to Antoine Favre, the watchmaker
from Geneva, who fathered nearly two centuries of mechanical dreams. At first
merely a gadget incorporated in watches, perfume bottles, pendants, etc., the musical
movement was the glory of Sainte-Croix during the second half of the 19th century.
At the time this industrial activity represented 10% of the total volume of Swiss
exports and was a source of delight to the high and mighty of this world, from Europe
to China

In times of peaceful solitude,
take a moment to reflect on the
companionship of angels in our lives.

To an angel, your life is a festivity of
love, a frolic among the beloved,
and a revelry of your value in God's eyes.

I'd like to see an angel dance.
I'd like to dance along.

Angels are observers who walk the pace
of a person who has all the time in the world.
