I have so many things to see and do. Don't tie yourself to me with tears. Be happy that we had so many years. I gave you love. You can only guess how much that You gave me in happiness. I thank you for your love you each have shown. But it is time I travel alone. So grieve a while for me, grieve you must; Then let your grief be comfort by trust. It's only for a little while we must part. So bless the memories within your heart. I won't be far away, for life goes on. So if you need me, call and I'll come. Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near. If you listen with your heart, you'll hear All my love around you soft and clear. And then when you must come this way alone, I will greet you with a smile and a

Tears are delightful expressions Of happiness, sorrow, and love, Made to release deep emotions, A special gift sent from above. When seeing sweet thoughts of a loved one Midst memories of days of old, A tear finds a cheek in the moonlight As thoughts reach deep in the soul. In moments of anger, frustrations and grief, When happy thoughts flee like a thief, Running away with our hopes and our cares, A tear brings welcome relief. If unwanted sorrow consumes us And life seems so hard to bear, With time a soul is healed, Restored with the help of a tear. Sun and beauty bring health to the soul Through all of the days of our lives, Deepest feelings of thanks are expressed Through tears which appear in our eyes. Be grateful for tears for their presence Restores our most glorious thoughts Of laughter, compassion and loving, The most precious gifts of all. Jack Larsen, Plover, Wisconsin

and we are sure that the song has ended, When our day seems over and the shadows fall and the darkness of night has descended, Where can we go to find the strength to valiantly keep on trying? Where can we find the hand that will dry the tears that the heart is crying? There's but one place to go and that is to God, and dropping all pretense and pride, We can pour out our problems without restraint and gain strength with Him at our side. And together we stand at life's crossroads and view what we think is the end. But God has a much bigger vision, and He tells us it's only a bend, For the road goes on and is smoother, and the pause in the song is a rest, And the part that's unsung and unfinished is the sweetest and richest and best. So rest and relax and grow stronger let go and let God share your load. Your work is not finished or ended you've just come to a bend in the road. Helen Steiner Rice

Swift weaving the web of our days; In and out fly fast speeding moments Thro' the warp and the wool of earth's maze. At times all the colors seem sombre, Again there are dashes of bright; Anon all life's threads knot and tangle, And only defects meet our sight, Full often we stand and in wonder We gaze at the unveiling loom, Which hides the design of the fabric Until we have reached the dark tomb. Only this do we know that the groundwork, Thro' which the bright colors are twined, Is woven of charity's fibers, Which serve the threads closely to bind. And when the last thread has been broken, And the loom is forever at rest, We shall see that our life's great Designer, Knew what for His children was best.

on a work we're proud to show? When placing our last signature will satisfaction glow? An outer coat of glory cannot hide an inner lie; a gilded frame on sloppy strokes won't fool the viewer's eye. Concern for others is revealed in colors that we choose: for love reflects in tender shades, our care in wistful hues. Some dawdle at their palettes thinking time is theirs to waste, but clever angles can't conceal the lines we draw in haste. Each entry is required, not a choice or random chance; how sad if our submission never rates a second glance.
