This is the time of wonder,
The season of the star...
Enraptured by its splendor,
Our thoughts go winging afar
Across the memories and miles,
Like angel melody,
Till every face is wreathed in smiles...
Hearts hold tranquility.
And as the snow falls, pure and white
On roof and street and hill,
Joy settles in our hearts tonight,
Glad tidings of goodwill,
On homes and hearthfires, peace descends,
And as the candles glow,
Flames of faith are kindled...
Love shines across the snow.

Winter Night
Shut in with loved ones on a winter might,
Outside the cold...within the firelight,
There is a closeness and a quiet peace,
A sense of oneness that will never cease
As long as families share winter things...
Reading and popping corn and friendly sings,
A winter night with snowflakes drifting down
Outside the window, frosting field and town,
Brings families together in a way
That is most precious at the close of day.

Peace, Be Still
Snow fell softly throught the night,
Covering with unsullied white
Church spire, rooftops, fences, trees,
Making no sound save when the breeze
Whispered against the windowpanes,
Or tip-toed through country lanes,
The world seemed hushed as if God's hand
Had laid itself upon the land.

Snow Star
I walked upon a loney street
With steps the tired know,
When soft upon my sleeve there fell
A pointed flake of snow
In solitary lovliness
The perfect crystal lay...
A star that knew a moment's form
Then blurred and slipped away
But beauty thronged the lonly place;
My feet were heaven shod...
Because I held, just a breath,
A little star of God.
