FEBRUARY, 1999

We knew we would miss Marc but decided to make the best of it and enjoy the week. February in Wisconsin is beautiful. It was a clear, crisp day so Chris and Pam decided to enjoy it by flying down the hill on their tubes. Buddy came later and joined them while Jan made an attempt to take photos.

Remembering the fun she had when she was a child Chris decided to make a snow angel. The snow had such a hard crust it almost knocked the breath out of her when she fell backwards. Pam decided to lay in the same place and save herself the misery. Everyone enjoyed the day and came home exhilarated but exhausted.

There is nothing better than a cup of hot coffee laced with Irish Cream on a cold winter day. So, after the outdoor exercise and fun Pam and Chris enjoyed a cup while warming themselves in front of the wood stove in the kitchen.

The girls spent a afternoon creating a reflective backdrop so they could wear their swimsuits and soak up the sun's rays. The process used an entire box of aluminum foil and all of Jan's Scotch tape. After tucking their warm outerwear and boots under the lawn chairs, they posed for bathing beauty pictures. Even Sandy enjoyed the warmth provided by this "unusual" setting

Naturally we all missed Marc, so one evening we all put on the Argo shirts he had given us and posed for pictures upstairs in Jan's office. Most evenings Chris and Pam crocheted afghans while Jan worked at the computer on her web page. Buddy, of course, was downstairs watching TV.

Sandy, always where the action is, also wanted to be in the picture so she was allowed to be on the furniture with Pam and Chris for this picture. (Now she thinks she can be up there all the time.) All in all we had a good time but it's just wasn't the same without Marc being there.
